1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using Paralete.com ("the Service"), you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement. If you do not agree to abide by the above, please do not use this service.

2. Description of Service

Paralete International provides recruitment services connecting qualified paralegals with international law firms, as well as AI legal training and certification programs through Paralete Academy. Our services include:

  • Paralegal recruitment and placement services
  • AI legal tool training and certification
  • Career development and professional networking
  • Educational resources and training programs

3. User Accounts and Registration

To access certain features of our service, you may be required to create an account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information
  • Maintain and update your account information
  • Maintain the security of your password and account
  • Accept responsibility for all activities under your account

4. Candidate Vetting and Certification

All paralegal candidates undergo a rigorous five-stage assessment process including:

  • Legal aptitude testing
  • AI skills assessment
  • Case review and analysis
  • Language proficiency evaluation
  • Professional reference verification

Only candidates who successfully complete all assessment stages are eligible for placement through our platform.

5. Employer Services

Employers using our recruitment services agree to:

  • Provide accurate job descriptions and requirements
  • Conduct interviews and assessments in good faith
  • Comply with applicable employment laws and regulations
  • Maintain confidentiality of candidate information
  • Pay agreed-upon placement fees as specified in separate agreements

6. Academy Training Programs

Paralete Academy training programs include:

  • Casetext CoCounsel certification
  • Harvey AI training and assessment
  • Industry-standard case management tools
  • Legal research and writing skills
  • International legal practice preparation

Completion of training programs does not guarantee employment placement. Certification is valid for 24 months and may require renewal.

7. Payment Terms

Payment terms for our services are outlined in separate service agreements. Generally:

  • Placement fees are due upon successful candidate placement
  • Training program fees are due before program commencement
  • All fees are non-refundable unless otherwise specified
  • Late payment may result in service suspension

8. Intellectual Property

All content, materials, and intellectual property on our platform, including but not limited to training materials, assessments, and proprietary methodologies, remain the exclusive property of Paralete International. Users may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without written permission.

9. Privacy and Data Protection

We are committed to protecting your privacy and personal data. Our collection, use, and protection of personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Paralete International shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or business opportunities, arising from your use of our services.

11. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account and access to our services at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice, for any reason whatsoever, including without limitation if you breach the Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

13. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of any material changes by posting the new Terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
